GGateway stared as a social enterprise founded in Gaza in 2015 to offer customised and competitive ICT business outsourcing services to clients worldwide. GGateway has enabled many young ICT graduates from universities in Gaza to access professional opportunities in a learning environment, and enhanced the ICT sector in Gaza by providing qualified labour and business opportunities.
Funded by the UNRWA donor KOICA, it was originally conceived as an ICT local project (The Gaza Gateway), namely the first end-to-end solution from academia to the private sector, to offer a commercially sustainable opportunity to the ICT local business growth challenges.
After a two-year testbed in-house proving ICT services to UNRWA projects, on the 29th of October 2015, The Gaza Gateway spun off and was officially registered under the name GGateway for Outsourcing Information Technology, operating as a not-for-profit social enterprise and becoming operational in 2016.
